Hello hello fellow foodies and travelers! I've been a bit tied up lately so I've been a bit MIA. On a side note, I was recently in Seoul (again :p) for another trip so I'll have some posts about that in the near future!
Today I'm going to take you to a few places that I visited on Boxing Day in 2016. I'm going to recommend a place where I had Charbroiled Chicken in Los Angeles and also take you to The Grove, where you can get some shopping done as well as some Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.
Dino's Chicken and Burgers was starred on my itinerary as a must visit place because I love chicken and fries!

It took us approximately 20 minutes by car to reach Dino's Chicken and Burgers from our Hotel near Universal Studios. Dino has been opened since 1968 and they have been in the press many times (https://www.dinoschickenandburgers.com/news) for their delicious food. They are famous for their Charbroiled Chicken and Fries!
When you walk into the store you can see the chicken being cooked/grilled right behind the cash register! Without thinking too much we ordered Dino's famous Charbroiled Chicken with Fries. The Chicken and Fries were served with a some sauce (sour cream?) and a few pieces of pita bread for you to have with the sauce and the Charbroiled Chicken sauce.
The chicken was well seasoned and full of flavours. The charcoal flavour wasn't strong but just right, the chicken was also tender and surprisingly juicy, sometimes when you have grilled chicken the chicken can tend to be quite dry but this wasn't the case. The serving of the fries is quite big, don't expect the fries to be crispy because the fries are actually rather soggy and some are soaked in the Charbroiled Chicken sauce. Despite the fries being soggy it still tasted really nice because it was soaked into the Charbroiled Chicken sauce.
I really enjoyed this meal since I'm a sucker for chicken, if I was in LA for a few more days I'd definitely go back.

We visited The Grove in the late afternoon on Boxing Day looking, I was looking forward to doing some shopping and getting some good Boxing Day sales but little did I know Boxing Day sales isn't really a thing in the U.S (Australia is crazy about Boxing Day sales). Since I visited The Grove around Christmas it still had all the Christmas lights and decorations which made the area look really pretty and festive.
The Grove is an area, like a neighborhood, with many shops right next to each other. The Grove isn't a shopping center and the stores are outside next to each other, so you'll have to get use to the cold whilst moving from store to store.
The Grove has all the well known stores such as Nord Storm, Michael Kors and Sephora, you can refer to the webpage mentioned above to see if it has the store that you're looking for. The Grove also has a cinema as well as some eateries so you can easily spend most of your day there.
We were getting a bit hungry during our stay at The Grove so we decided to visit The Cheesecake Factory.

Most of you have probably heard of The Cheesecake Factory but for those who haven't let me tell you in short, they serve mains and they serve really really really really good Cheesecake!
The Cheesecake Factory has many locations across the U.S so it's quite easy to get yummy Cheesecake. Oh and for those readers in Hong Kong, The Cheesecake Factory is also opening up in Hong Kong very soon (can't wait!).
At the store in The Grove the dine in wait was 1.5hrs so we decided to order takeaway and sit in the lobby of the cinemas next door to enjoy it.
The Cheesecake Factory has a menu filled with lots of different types of Cheesecake. We were told the popular ones were the Original, Salted Caramel and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. We clearly couldn't try all the popular flavours so we settled for a slice of the Original and a slice of the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake, you also have an option to add whipped cream.
The Original flavored cheesecake was rich in flavour however it wasn't very sweet and it actually tasted quite refreshing. The texture of the cheesecake was smooth and once you start eating it you won't be able to stop!
The Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake was also really good! This option is quite sweet and rich and the texture is also very smooth. If you're into rich flavoured chocolate such as dark chocolate then this would be a good option. In my opinion with this option I felt like I was eating a smooth rich chocolate cake rather than a cheesecake.
I liked both flavoured cheesecakes, if you've never been to The Cheesecake Factory then I suggest you start with the Original flavour before you try others.
I absolutely cannot wait for the store to be opened in Hong Kong :)!
That's all for now folks! I'm going to get back into blogging more regularly and uploading my travel vlogs. I've got a lot of footage but I have very little time to edit so thanks for being patient!
