Hawksmoor's Steaks - London
Hi Guys, I hope you've had a good start to the new year! Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately as you've probably read from the previous post I was on holidays at the United States. I've also collected a lot of materials to post about the United States so stay tuned!
For now I have another post about London! As you guys probably know I was in London for a month in June 2016 and I tried a load of restaurants during my stay. I visited Hawksmoor which is a restaurant known for their steaks! Their website even claims that they are the best steak restaurant in the UK!
Hawksmoor has a few branches around the UK, you can check out their store locations on their website (www.thehawksmoor.com). We went to the restaurant at Seven Dials.

If you're going to the one at Seven Dials you can take the tube to Covent Garden Station and you'll be there in no time! You can even fit in some shopping while you're there.
We booked beforehand and we arrived at the restaurant at around 6.30PM. The restaurnt was starting to fill up at around 6.30PM.
We ordered a 400gram Sirloin with peppercorm sauce cooked to medium rare, Beef Dripping Fries, Doddington Caesar Salad and Roast Field Mushrooms. We asked the waiters to explain to us the differences between each of the steaks on the menu and they were really helpful and patient! They would tell you what sides would go well with the steaks, what sauces would go well and what are the popular dishes. If you're unsure what to order then you should definitely ask and make the most of your experience there.
The steak was served with some flakes of salt on top for a bit of extra flavour! The steak was also tender and juicy! We poured the peppercorn sauce on each piece of steak as we went and it was superb! It is definitely one of the best steaks I've had!
The Beef Dripping Fries was very interesting. I could taste strong beef flavour on each of the fries, I felt that the fries were very unique and different! The other two sides that we ordered, Caesar Salad and Roast Field Mushrooms weren't very outstanding but we ordered those since we needed some veggies in our meal!
This was a really filling and good meal! We were struggling to finish the steak between the two of us (two girls!). If you're going to visit Hakwsmoor I'd firstly recommend you to make a booking and secondly make sure you make the most of asking your waiter for recommendations because they are really helpful! When I go back to London (hopefully sometime soon) I'd definitely want to take my family and friends back to this place because overall it was a good experience!
